'Doctor Who' producer talks monsters
Doctor Who producer Phil Collinson believes that the forthcoming series will see an increase in the amount of monsters on view."The biggest pressure is coming up with new, different and scary monsters," he told the Radio Times this week. "This year there's probably a bigger selection - we've gone a bit more monster-y."Creatures so far mentioned for the upcoming episodes include the rhinoceros-esque Judoon, the blood-sucking Plasmavores and the return of the Daleks. Collinson's view that the third season of the revived show will up the ante was backed up by David Tennant. "Each script that comes in just seems to be bigger than the last," the Scottish actor told the magazine. "The scale is bigger, the locations are bigger," he added. The opening episode is due to air on Saturday, 31st March on BBC One.
