David is best known as the 10th actor to portray Doctor Who in the BBC TV series and made his debut on the show, regenerating from Christopher Eccleston, in June 2005. Since then, he's been at the helm of the Tardis, alongside his companion, Rose, played by Billie Piper, who left at the end of the last series. David's TV career stretches back to the early Nineties, with parts in Takin' Over The Asylum and Rab C Nesbitt.
