RED-HOT Freema Agyeman is to sex up the new series of Doctor Who by getting in a lather over our hero.The 27-year-old plays Martha Jones, who falls in lust with the Doctor and ends up joining him on his travels in the Tardis.She even ends up in bed with him in one episode, but insists she never actually gets her hands on his Sonic Screwdriver! In her first episode, medical student Martha is seen chasing the Doctor, played by David Tennant, 35.Later in the series, she is pursued by kinky Captain Jack (John Barrowman, 39), hero of spin-off Torchwood. Freema said: “There are sparks flying. From the moment Martha meets the Doctor it’s ‘bang’ – she fancies him. “But the lust is unrequited. They do end up in bed together, but it’s not all it seems. “When Captain Jack turns up, it’s hilarious. He hits on me and he’s after the Doctor, too!” But she insists the lusty action is purely for the telly cameras: “David is a very sexy Doctor, but the only man I fancy is my boyfriend, a property developer.” Londoner Freema was seen in the last series as a Torchwood girl killed by evil Cybermen.Now she is hoping to score as big a hit as Billie Piper, 24, who played previous companion Rose Tyler.And she has already shown her sex appeal by playing a saucy maid in Crossroads alongside Jessica Fox, 23.Freema said with a giggle: “Me? A sex symbol? If it’s a title someone attaches to me, I shall accept it with grace. In other words – bring it on!”The new series of Doctor Who starts on BBC1 at 7pm on Saturday, March 31.
