By Train, Plane, Automobile or TARDIS

BBC Radio Cymru presenter Ray Gravell is currently facing a major dilemma as he needs to be in two places – on the opposite ends of the United Kingdom - on Friday 30 March. The BBC Press Office has calculated the following times to make the 654 miles journey:

By foot - nine days non-stop;

By horse - five days non-stop;

In a car - 13 hours;

Jet plane - one hour and 20 minutes;

Lynx helicopter - three hours;

RAF Jet Hawk - 30 minutes.

By TARDIS - instantaneous to a century too early.
