Daleks roam Portsmouth to promote the stage production of the Dalek Masterplan

Daleks roam Portsmouth to promote the stage production of the Dalek Masterplan
The appearance was to help promote the Dalek Masterplan, a play which is due to be staged at the New Theatre Royal, in Portsmouth, between Wednesday 24 October and Saturday 27 October.
Two Daleks were on hand – a ‘Genesis-type’ Dalek and a ‘Masterplan-type’ Dalek – along with the Doctor from the stage play, our good friend Nick Scovell. With him was Rob Thrush, voicing the Daleks via his ring modulator. The Daleks were operated by Stuart Currie (who also built the props) and Adrian Cranwell-Child, who – along with Stuart – will be Dalek operators during the stage play.

The stage play retells the epic 1960’s Dalek story, which has the Daleks and the Doctor pitted against each other – with the whole of time and space at stake. The same production company performed a superb production of Evil of the Daleks last year, and this event promises to be even better.
The team will be involved in several other promotional events during the coming weeks, so, if you live in Portsmouth and the surrounding area, keep your eyes open for Daleks!
